In this era of scientific advancement, Chemistry becomes unavoidable. This book is intended for use in secondary especially advanced level. It will enable both the teachers and the students to focus intensively on each practical. It contains detailed scientific approaches, experiments, explanations and illustrations. Revision questions and Answers are provided topic by topic meanwhile UNEB sample questions are also provided. These questions are intended to form the basics of interactions between teachers and students or student discussion groups. To emphasize this, the simplified language and approach used in this book aims at making chemistry as a subject easy to understand, straight forward, attractive & friendly to students. This book has been developed in line with the most recent developments of Uganda national curriculum center teaching syllabus and UNEB syllabus. It is therefore of great advantage to all secondary schools most especially those which may not be able to provide a wide range of text books for use by their teachers, students & the discussion groups. The trial questions are intended to enhance group discussion for students, reference questions are for exams & seminars. We hope that the student who follows the layout of this book will in the end have got enough experience in enabling a wide range of questions in exams. The students will be fully prepared to both mock and UNEB examinations. We have a vision as most students will turn as scientists to meet the ever increased demand for science graduate in various technical discipline of medicine, agriculture & forestry. And finally, I dedicate this book to my special wife Ms Baseke Bridget (Tutor) Felix Rubangakene Geofrey.

Baroque Senior Two Christian Religious Education (CRE) Learner's Book has been developed in response to the new competence-based Lower Secondary Curriculum for Uganda. The curriculum was developed by the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) under the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) and launched in 2020. The book is a result of extensive research from several credible Christian Religious Education (CRE) resources and input from experienced teachers and experts. Baroque Senior Two Christian Religious Education (CRE) Learner's Book entails; • an active competence-based and learner-centred approach, • appropriate and accurate content, • adequate and relevant activities and projects that trigger discovery, critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving and interactivity, • acceptable, appropriate, standard and grammatically correct English, which encourages vocabulary development as well as correct representation of technical terms, • accurate, relevant, clear, and adequate illustrations that enhance learning, • intuitive methods, illustrations, activities, and projects that have been, explored to instill the principles of Christian Religious Education (CRE). In pursuit of a knowledge-based society, there is need for new generation learning books that are learner-centred, sufficiently researched and innovatively developed. Baroque Senior Two Christian Religious Education (CRE) Learner's Book lays a firm foundation for learners who would like to pursue a career in Christian Religious Education (CRE)-related fields and seeks to equip all learners with the ability to apply Christian Religious Education (CRE) knowledge in day-to-day activities.

This is Module 3, Word Processing, which provides the basis for the practicebased test in this module. Word Processing requires the candidate to demonstrate the ability to use a word processing application to create everyday letters and documents. The candidate shall be able to: The candidate shall be able to:  Work with documents and save them in different file formats.  Choose built-in options such as the Help function to enhance productivity.  Create and edit small-sized word processing documents that will be ready to share and distribute.  Apply different formats to documents to enhance them before distribution and recognize good practice in choosing the appropriate formatting options.  Insert tables, images and drawn objects into documents.  Prepare documents for mail merge operations.  Adjust document page settings and check and correct spelling before finally printing documents. This Module was made possible due to the efforts and encouragement provided by a variety of people around the world. Special thanks are due to two pioneering organizations working on computers in education in Uganda who provided advice and materials: Schoolnet Uganda, Computers for Schools and Crescent Future Kids. Three international development aid organizations: Camara, VVOB and IICD, also deserve special recognition for their contributions to this document and the efforts they are making to use ICT as a tool for development and education in Uganda and elsewhere. Digital literacy is having an increasingly important impact on individuals, communities and societies as the world becomes more technology-dependent, and the information society and knowledge economy become increasingly global. Kisubi Associated Writers Agency works with communities, local and regional authorities, governments, international stakeholders, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), and other development-orientated organisations around the world to promote digital literacy, and to deliver ICT skills development across all key sectors. The project involves use of modules that will be given to all teachers taking up the course. There will be testing centres in prominent secondary schools and colleges all over the country. The training takes five months after which one will be issued a valid certificate. By the end of the course, each participants will have covered the following  Module 1 – Concepts of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)  Module 2 – Using the Computer and Managing Files  Module 3 – Word Processing  Module 4 – Spreadsheets  Module 5 – Using Databases  Module 6 – Presentation  Module 7 – Web Browsing and Communication This wonderful book is an invitation to YOU to join the ICT world and embrace the new pattern of development in education. You are important. Do not make yourself a minus in the 21st century world.
